Who we are

ADVx (rideadvx.com) is a platform for adventure and off-road riders to manage GPS tracks, waypoints, and riding groups. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this notice refer to the operators of ADVx.

What data we collect

Account information

Your email address and a hashed password when you register. Optionally, your name and a profile photo.

GPX files and waypoints

The route and location files you upload, along with any titles, descriptions, and photos you attach to them.

Usage data

Aggregated, anonymised analytics via Google Analytics (GA4) — pages visited, session duration, and general device type. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

A signed session cookie to keep you logged in. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Why we collect it

To provide the service

Your account data lets you log in, manage your content, and share it with riding groups.

To improve the platform

Anonymised analytics help us understand which features are used and where the experience can be improved.

How long we keep it

Your account and all associated content (GPX files, waypoints, photos, group memberships) is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed. Anonymised analytics data is retained by Google according to their own retention policy.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Other members of your riding groups — your name (if set) and the content you explicitly share with a group is visible to that group's members.
• Google Analytics — anonymised usage data as described above.
• Infrastructure providers — our hosting and storage providers process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time from your Account Details page. To request a full data export or ask any other questions about how your data is handled, contact us at our contact page.

Changes to this notice

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use of ADVx after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.
